Calling all fans of vintage and rare basses !!!I’m selling this magnificent Gibson Grabber 3 (G3) bass, in a Tobacco Sunburst finish (quite rare for the era, as most were “natural”), dating from 1976.It’s in superb condition considering its age, and it has a beautiful natural patina.Everything is original, except for the bridge, which has been replaced with a KAHLER VINTAGE US. It comes with its original case.A bit of history about this bass:"The Gibson Grabber was introduced at the same time as the Ripper. It was designed by Bill Lawrence (a famous designer at Gibson). The G3 was produced between 1975 and 1985 at the well-known Gibson factory in Kalamazoo (USA). In 1976, fewer than 250 units rolled off the assembly line, making it a very rare bass."Specs:“This bass was equipped with three fixed pickups mounted at the neck, bridge, and middle positions, respectively. A three-position selector switch was added to the control system to allow the pickups to be activated in pairs of humbuckers—neck and middle, bridge and middle—or all three in a humbucker configuration, nicknamed ‘buck and a half.’”Famous G3 players include Lou Barlow (Dinosaur Jr.), Mike Dirnt (Green Day), and Krist Novoselic (Nirvana).Feel free to ask me about its history.
