With the vintage Japanese made acoustic guitars from the 1970's becoming more collectible, the Crown City Import guitars are becoming more sought after every day. I did a lot of research on this guitar and information is really hard to find other than it was made in Japan in the 1970's, imported to the US and fairly rare. I found such titles as "Crown" guitars, "Crown Professional", "Crown Imports" (hence the C I logo) and "Crown City" guitars. The soundhole sticker is missing so I have no idea what is the model #, though It looks very muck like model FW618R. There is a serial # in a photo. Beautiful inlay and very solid guitar.
This guitar is in excellent condition with no cracks scratches or repairs. Lower bout is flat, bridge is solid, neck joint is solid and the intonation is good. Please view photos and ask questions if you have any.
The sound of this guitar is amazing. I would say it may be the best example of a Crown City Import available at any price. The harmonics are Taylor-esque and it has a great low end. I just dressed the fretboard with lem-oil and put on a new set of Martin SP lights.
All I can say is you will not be disappointed. I will ship the guitar out in 1 business day packed well and FedEx will be the shipper.
