For reasons of financial self-preservation as much as running critically low on extra space, I have instilled a very strict one-in/one-out policy in regards to any new gear purchase... And because I've recently acquired another Stratocaster from the same era, this one is now up for grabs.
For your consideration, is this fantastic Tokai Silver Star from the late 70's. I purchased this last year from Tym's Guitars out of Brisbane Australia. It is a near exact copy of a Fender 70's Strat. If you know anything about the quality of these FujiGen made instruments, then you're also probably well aware this is why Fender awarded them a contract to produce guitars under their namesake. This guitar was subsequently the subject of a blog Tym featured, which is available to read via their website.
Cosmetically, it is in very good condition. There are scratches and some indentations on the guitar itself, the worst of which are on the front bottom left of the body. I've tried to capture these in the pics, but they are hard to see as the black finish hides them well. The neck is very comfortable and is setup with a new set of GHS 10's. It is all original and sounds lovely - exactly what you would expect from a strat.
A case was *not* included when originally purchased, and with it never leaving my studio in the time I've had it, I never acquired one. As such, this sale is for the guitar only.
