Vintage 1960's TenEyck 15" Speaker Cabinet. Sports a JBL D140 8 ohm speaker.
Very rare piece. These were produced by Bob Teneyck, who worked for Ampeg and designed the Gemini series and well as vibrato units. He also worked for Sunn and designed the Orion. Some time around 1968/69 he started his own company producing ill fated solid state amplifiers. According to the book 'Amps!: The Other Half of Rock 'n' Roll', Mr. Teneyck was abducted by aliens and forced to make these amps against his will.
Back to the speaker cabinet itself. It's in excellent condition and sounds great. Birch ply construction including the baffle board. Kind of a Magnatone vibe with the logo and grillcloth. The only one of these I've ever come across anywhere. A very cool piece of forgotten amplifier history!
