Selmer Selmer Student Model 1430 Bass Clarinet, Nice Condition, Plays Perfectly!

This auction is for a Selmer 1430 Student Model Bass Clarinet in Functional Condition.  Selmer is known for making a wide variety of high quality musical instruments right here in the USA.  These instruments are a great introductory brand for a beginning instrumentalist.  This bass clarinet is a high quality instrument that will serve you well through the high school level.  Bass clarinets are a bit more difficult to play than the clarinet due to their notoriously difficult upper register, but a quality instrument helps with this.  In this regard, the quality of a selmer instrument really shines.  This is a resonite bass clarinet, which seals a little better than wood and means you don’t have to worry about cracks.  In terms of condition, this instrument is in nice shape, with a few scratches from normal use and some wear on the plating, especially the parts that the fingers make contact with.  In terms of playability, this is a great instrument.  It will make a great instrument to start out learning the bass clarinet.  The bell has some scratching and a small ding on the bottom that does not affect playability.  The case is sturdy, and has plenty of storage space, but has significant wear around the edges.   Also included is a peg, mouthpiece, ligature, and reed.  Everything you need to get started.
