Stratocaster FOIL Pickup 1pc Gold Hand Wound Strat Custom by Q pickups

This listing is for 1pc single coil pickup.

The pickups are the same size as classic stratocaster pickups - the chrome covers will fit perfectly mounted on standard Strat pickguard.


These are inspired by vintage Gold Foil and Silver Foil pickups. Assembled with quality parts, hand / scatter wound, wax potted and built to specs.
By default we will build these with A5 magnets, AWG42 pickup wire and around 6 kOhm DC resistance - similar to vintage Stratocaster pickups. If you want something different please leave a note at the checkout or send us a message and we will work it out.

General specs are:

- chrome plated nickel-silver open covers

(the covers are soldered to ground / black wire providing extra electro-magnetic shielding)

- thin aluminum foil

- vulcanized fiberboard flawork
- Elektrisola enameled copper wire
- sand cast AlNiCo magnet rods
- vintage style cloth covered push back wire
- wax potted in paraffin and bee`s wax
