Oktava MK-012 Small Diaphragm Condenser Microphone This is the latest edition of the classic Oktava MK-012-01 small diaphragm condenser microphone. Notice that Oktava has gone back to using their beautiful classic logo! As well it's the best revision of this microphone especially compared to the old silver version of 20 years ago which were often modified for optimization. This edition needs no modification and sound great out of the box.
This is the lowest cost version, containing a preamp body, a cardiod capsule and a 10db cut adapter. We also offer the three capsule version (the standard MK-012) as well as in matched stereo pairs. Check our other listings or send a message for more details.
For those who don't know the microphone it's unique transformerless design and unique capsule design has made this a go-to microphone for stringed instruments, pianos, and drum overheads. As well, but using the the 10db cut adapter (before the preamp) this microphone can be used on loud sources where usually a condenser microphone can get overwhelmed such as guitar amps and snare drums.
The latest Oktavas also come with a two year manufacturer's warranty.
