100 watt Superlead Plexi Clone 1968 Marshall Metro Merren Marstran Iskra Mullard NOS

Selling an absolutely killer 12,000 series  plexi clone in mint condition, built several years ago to do the VH thing, which it does in spades. This will smoke any modern or vintage steel panel Marshall, bold words for sure, but truth.
No expense was spared, meticulously built on a Metropoulos chassis, it has a Merren power trans and a Marstran output transformer with a Mercury Magnetics choke. Boards by Brian Haberman with nothing but vintage NOS Iskra and Piher resistors and 60's NOS mustard tone caps and Lemco silver micas, all sourced from around the world. Vintage NOS Erie and Rifa filter caps as well. Wired with the 'Larry' grounding system (star grounding, super quiet). Used the best components available from Valvestorm and to finish it off, front plexi panel by Sparky (most accurate front panel available, in color and font) and an excellent box by Jeff Swanson. The only flaw with box are the five holes on the front. I'll let you guess what logo was in those holes but per Reverb selling rules, can't be displayed or included with the amp.

Tubes are low-hour Electro-Harmonix 6CA7s (much like the Sylvania 6CA7s VH used) and JJ 12ax7 preamp tubes.

This is as close to a real 100 watt plexi as you will come for this price, hate to part with it, but I just don't play it enough these days.
