Very rare vintage Fender Capricorn from 1969-1970. This amp was part of the short lived Zodiac series which is Fender's first attempt at solid state. Most of these amps have not survived and the ones that have are hard to come across. This amp is roughly the height of a Super Reverb but is a 3x12 open back design. Currently, the amp is set up for bass or guitar with 2x12 speakers currently installed wired at 4 ohms for max output (brand new Celestion Pulse 12). 3x12 speakers will be included for the transition to more specific guitar tones if the buyer chooses. The amp sounds fantastic on guitar and bass. The amp has a massive built in spring reverb that runs up the entire side of the amp (not pictured due to bass configuration). The verb sounds very dreamy and has a super long tail which is really fun to play with. The "Vibrato" does not appear to be working. The amp has 2 channels both with a high and low gain input as well as a bright switch. The amp is wrapped in the lovely alligator black tolex and silver and red grill cloth. The amp was not built for bass and can get a little rattle going when you’re really cranking it, but has a very nice tone and is amazing for low-medium volume bass work and fantastic for recording
