Overview

The Norlin-era Gibson J-160E does have a couple profound changes which make it a bit less valuable to collectors than the '50s and '60s guitars -- the shape changed from round shoulder to square shoulder and the rear of the headstock got the ubiquitous volute. As well, these '70s guitars saw the control knobs move down on the body.
