Hey all, up for sale is my 2010 Scott Walker Phoenix. The Phoenix was a collaboration between Scott, Steve Kimock, Jason Lollar and John Cutler. Based off of the classic Jazzmaster shape, this guitar features a gorgeous and rare reclaimed Curly Mahogany for the body and neck, and Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. Beautiful copper patina pickguard shields the electronics as well as looking fine. The Blade style pickups are custom from Jason Lollar. The preamp and electronics are custom made by electronics wizard John Cutler of Grateful Dead fame. This guitar is stereo or mono, passive or active. The 2 pickups are switched by a standard 3-way and there is a master polarity switch as well. You can also send each pickup to a separate amp if you want. There are 2 master volume controls and 2 two tone controls, one of each for both pickups. Therefore, there is a whole lot of tone shaping abilities straight from the guitar. This guitar also features a swappable bridge system. Pictured is the one piece bridge. That comes right off and can be easily switched with a tone pros adjustable bridge system, tone pros bridge included! Very powerful and punchy tone. Extremely natural sound when run active. Tummy carve and overall shape make this guitar extremely ergonomic. I am the original owner and have taken very good care. This guitar has been played and there are signs of wear. Mostly just regular wear, light scratches, discoloration on the blades, etc. There is a small spot on the back of the neck where the finish has worn. It has been only slightly reliced for you, you’ll have to do the rest : )> frets are in excellent shape, leveled only once, by Scott Walker himself. Also, a slight custom change that Scott made to the heel, shaving a little off and rounding it out for a more comfortable feel when accessing higher frets. What else can I tell you? Comes with custom Ameritage case, in excellent shape. Ordered today, this guitar would run over 8k with the Brazilian fretboard and I believe the Curly Mahogany would not even be an option.
