About This Listing

This Epiphone Crestwood Electric Guitar is Owned by Jay Farrar of Son Volt.

The ’60s Epiphone solid-bodies featured the same set-neck design and quality construction as Gibson models and provided Gibson a second outlet for sales. The body style chosen in ’57 for the Crestwood foretold of changes to Gibson solid-bodies, and market acceptance of the Crestwood and other Epi solid-bodies undoubtedly influenced Gibson ’s SG model.

Epi solid-bodies were discontinued in 1970, when all Epiphone models began to be sourced from manufacturers outside the U.S.

Serial: 94900. Wine red. Rewired for Dimarzio pickups. Super hot and killer tone. Tone modification switch on the base. Headstock repair. Please see photographs. Was very beautifully done. Checking, chips and dents throughout. Like the rest of Jay's collection a true players guitar and a personal favorite of the staff at Reverb.

NOTE: Buyers who are purchasing outside of the Continental US will need to file for appropriate CITES certification through the Fish & Wildlife Administration due to the rosewood on this guitar. Shipping lead times could be anywhere from 1-4 weeks while export documentation is organized. Buyer be advised!

All items in Jay Farrar's Official Reverb Shop ship fully insured with delivery confirmation and include a signed and embossed Certificate Of Authenticity from Jay Farrar of Son Volt.
