ALEMBIC instroduced the Artist Signature Series Stanley Clarke model in the 1980s. It is an Artist Signature Series model based on a short scale length Series II model. It has a brass nut, bridge and tailpiece as well as brass position markers in the side of the neck. The body is mahogany with a book-matched figured exotic wood top. Fretless and left handed versions were available. The head stock Alembic logo and Stanley Clarke signature is gold plated sterling silver. Controls are a master volume, 2 tone filters, 2 2-position Q filter switches and a pickup pan pot.
