This is a wonderful example of the very rare Framus TV Star bass. Favored by the likes of Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, and for good reason! It’s an absolute pleasure to play — light hollow body construction, slim neck profile, and 30" scale. The tone is crisp and the bass has sustain for days. It’s currently strung up with flatwounds which pairs so well with the hollow body construction to give you that big, thumpy tone.
The condition is remarkable. German-made quality with original parts and very minimal evidence of wear anywhere! The back maple has a gorgeous flame that plays off the vibrant three-tone sunburst. Subtle lacquer checking in a couple places and around the neck scarf joint and everything is 100% structurally sound — she’s ready to play for another 50 years! OHSC case included too — together with old latches and hand painted 90's metal band logos haha.
As a long-time online guitar shopper I’ve tried to take hi-res photos of all the important bits, but let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to know/ see. Needless to say, this is a truly special bass that's an absolute joy to play.
