The moment everyone has been waiting for!

We are proud to present this very rare vintage 1981 Hamer Prototype. Not only is this a Prototype, but it's a "PROTOTYPE" of the Prototype. Already an INCREDIBLY rare guitar, this one goes one step further... This is THE guitar that was owned and played on tour by Rick Nielsen!

The guitar was sold by Rick in 1984 (the letter included from Rick on Cheap Trick/Epic Records is dated 5-23-84). Also included is a 1998 letter of appraisal from Gruhn Guitars in Nashville. The guitar is well documented and was used on tour with Cheap Trick in 1983/1984. The guitar has been signed on the back by Rick, but has since heavily faded.

This guitar is in nice condition, but does show fairly heavy wear from use on those tours. The guitar has also, at some point, had a headstock repair which was noted in the appraisal as "The peghead has been cracked and was repaired by Gruhn Guitars. The damage is virtually invisible". The guitar is all original, plays and sounds great, and is a true piece of music history.

The original hardshell Hamer case is included. If you're a serious Hamer collector, you can't afford to miss out on this one, so go ahead and make us an offer!
