Complete pickguard assembly from a 2008 Fender VG Stratocaster. Original pickups, switches, pots & wiring...and all of the Roland VG electronics. Everything you see pictured. These parts came from a VG Strat that I got from a friend of mine. I wanted to replace the original electronics with an EMG loaded pickguard setup, so I very carefully removed all of these parts myself. They worked perfectly at that time but I cannot guarantee that everything will work when re-assembled. Therefore, this gear is sold AS IS and all sales are final. Even without the VG electronics, you're still getting a fully loaded pickguard with working magnetic pickups for a good price.

As I said, everything was working perfectly when I disassembled it. I left the pickguard itself completely intact...all knobs, switches, and pickups are still installed and wired up. As you see in the photos, there is a silver box about 3" x 4" by 1/2"...this is the main board to which all other sections are connected. Basically, the pickguard, output jack, and power supply all connect to this box. The connections are labeled and it should not be difficult to determine what goes where, and there are all sorts of resources out there for information and guidance. I do not have any instructions or manuals to give you, but I can certainly answer basic questions about the setup.

On the original VG Strat, the silver box described above was installed in a cavity routed into the back of the guitar, between the trem cover plate and the bottom edge of the body. You will need to take this into account when installing this into your guitar, unless you already have a VG Strat body. Also, you will need to provide power via four (4) AA batteries. The power cable is provided; however, the wires were cut during disassembly. This was necessary because I chose to keep the battery compartment housing in the guitar to use with the EMGs. I am including the battery cradle that used to sit in the compartment...all you have to do is route a cavity for it and solder the leads from the power wire to the cradle. Or you may have another plan for the battery setup.

Again, I am happy to answer any basic questions you have, but please keep in mind that I am not a professional luthier or guitar tech, nor am I particularly skilled in electronics. But this is a relatively simple assembly, and there are tons of resources out there if you need parts or information. I took great care to disassemble the system as non-destructively as possible. And, other than the battery cradle, I was successful. So I am confident that the system will work great for you, provided you assemble it properly and take care with the parts as you do so. I am assuming you have some basic woodworking skills or have a plan to accommodate these parts in your guitar. As I mentioned, you may even be able to find another VG body. Not sure how this system compares with the newer, Mexican made VG Strat in terms of construction or layout. If you need measurements or anything, just ask.
