This is a beautiful and incredibly playable vintage archtop. The sunburst finish is magnificent to behold and is beautiful under the light. There is some light and very tasteful checking on the upper wing of the guitar. The neck is straight and plays very well. The frets could use a good cleaning but they are all there and play without trouble.
The only major problem with the guitar is a separation of the binding on the bottom the guitar's body. This separation can be repaired but until then it will hold up just fine without changing the vintage character of the tone. It is structurally solid and you won't have to worry about it unless you are picky about that kind of thing. Another thing to note is that a previous owner carved "1949 Harmony" into the finish on the back of the headstock. It kinda sucks that it happened, but it really does give this guitar a sense of humor as it is actually from the '60s. The damage is reflected in the price.
This is your chance to own a beautiful piece of American history that you'll be able to make music on every day!
