About This Listing

This is a like-new, Mint condition very rare 2013 Guild Custom Shop F-47R "RENO" Grand Orchestra acoustic guitar in virtually unplayed condition. It is collector owned and has been carefully stored in a properly humidified and temperature-controlled environment since purchased new.

This is a very special versatile guitar that features a solid premium Adirondack spruce top and hand-scalloped Adirondack bracing; solid Rosewood back and sides; Rosewood fretboard and bridge. It has beautiful and unique mother of pearl star inlay on the bridge, fretboard and headstock. Bone nut, saddle, and bridge pins; ivory binding; and nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The guitar is pristine with no play wear and not a mark or scratch on it.

There were very few of these guitars made...this is number 006 of an extremely limited run. I purchased this guitar new from Mark at Reno's Music in Indiana. Mark had these custom crafted to his specifications for his shop. It was hand crafted at the Guild Custom Shop in New Hartford, CT under the supervision of master luthier Ren Ferguson. If I recall correctly, I believe they may have been constructed with hot hide glue as well, but I'm not sure. At any rate, the guitar plays beautifully. It has a wonderfully balanced rich tone and great projection.

Two brand new unused Guild pick guards also included.

As you may have noticed, there is another F-47 RENO listed here on Reverb for $4,999. I've priced this one to sell!

Additionally, I will be selling a number of guitars from my collection over the next few days, including other Guild and Gibson acoustics, all in collector condition.
