A beautiful 1982 Ibanez Artist AS100
(AS-100) in Sunburst with amazing figured-top. Everything is
original, including Ibanez Super-58 humbuckers the hard shell case. A great 32-year (vintage?) old semi-hollow body at a steal of a price! Basically a Made in Japan version of a Gibson ES-335, with some of the hottest humbuckers I have ever played! I cant say enough about those Super-58 pups.
This guitar was made in Japan (Fujigen) at the height of Japanese luthiery. Vintage Ibanez guitars are some of the best bang for your buck. The label inside the f-hole is signed by the luthier.
So this is not mint or collector grade, but not beat up or abused either. There are several places on the top that have some nicks in the finish, but not down to the wood, and there is light buckle rash on the back. There is a nice knock to the head stock and the paint is gone. The neck does have some finish cracks at the heel, but I have taken this guitar to a professional luthier for inspection and set-up. There is not a neck crack, only in the finish. Fresh set-up with D'add 10's and low action. Please review the pictures and ask any questions.
