JJ Electronic Gold Pin ECC81 / 12AT7 Standard

This is our standard Gold Pin ECC81. It is designed to be a premium version of the classic JJ ECC81. The Gold Pin tubes have a very open and lush character. When overdriven they have a very smooth and singing tone that's less gritty than the original ECC81. The short military plate structure means that microphonics and mechanical noise are inherently low. This makes these tubes a great choice for Combo amps!

Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests all performed on one of our Amplitrex testers.

The JJ Gold Pin ECC81 is also available with Current Balanced triodes for use as a phase inverter.

The video below shows both our preamp tube testing and power tube matching procedures here at Eurotubes which are second to none. We may not be the cheapest, but we are arguably the best.
