The guitar has seen some stage time and has a few bumps and digs to show for it.  There are some depressions on the top that may have been made by a bracelet and various light scratches, nicks and dings.  The pickups show oxidation and wear. All of these imperfections are purely cosmetic and in no way affect the function or playability of the guitar. 

The guitar is very resonant and easy to play.  The frets are in very good condition and have been recently cleaned and polished.  Action is low without buzzing. It's a great USA made guitar for not much money.

A fully functional Epiphone hardshell case is included.

The Eclipse is Hamer's workhorse guitar.  I consider it to be the functional equivalent of a Telecaster or Les Paul Junior, with little Firebird flavor added by the mini humbuckers.  It is, however, much more comfortable to play than any of those.  It's compact, light and has back and forearm contours.

The USA made Eclipse (Model GECS) was introduced in 1994 as a new asymmetrical offset double-cutaway design with short horns, the upper somewhat larger and rounded, the lower more pointed, and a rounded lower bout. The body and glued-in neck were all-mahogany with a black-faced three-and-three Hamer headstock and screened logo. The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard had a 243/4″ scale and dot inlays. The Eclipse sported two Seymour Duncan mini-humbucking pickups with three-way select, one volume and one tone control. The bridge was a Wilkinson Hardtail Wrap Around, and the nut a Lubritrak. These were offered in Black, Cherry Transparent, Candy Green, Ferrari Red, and Vintage Orange. The Eclipses were eclipsed in ’98.
