I would typically rate this as Average for the age and type instrument it is. Reverb would actually classify this as 'poor' as there are a few things that do not work properly. I will describe below. I chose "Fair". There oddly is no "Average".
At any rate. Rely on the photos and my narrative description as your guide.
This has been in a smoke free home. Used very little. I am original owner. So it often sat in storage in a closet or in a small home studio. I purchased it back in the 70's.
The Keyboard sliders are stuck and will need service. There are YouTube videos that give specific instructions or you can send it off to a pro for service. The switches, button, knob, and keys function.

The main unit has all the pieces functioning but a couple of the sliders are a little stiffer and one end of travel than the other.
Years ago I started having an issue with the cable from the keyboard to the main unit. If you wiggled the cable it would work but then become intermittent. Someone told me it was likely the connectors on one side or the other. At any rate it was deemed a simply issue.
As it sits now it will make noise but not properly like it used to. I don't know what may or may not need attention. If anyone wants me to test a certain thing and can instruct me as to how, I will be happy to report results.
My expectation is that whomever buys this will also have it refurbished to the highest of current day specs which would be beyond all but the most early and rare ARP 2600s. Once done I would expect it to valued up past the $10K that these things are bringing these days.
This is not a burnt out basket case. You can see by the photos it has not been abused. I unfortunately do not know enough about it to say for certain that this or that is defective or not. If I were to keep it, I would send it off and have one of the pro ARP restorers just bring it up to top level.

I wish the keyboard was in better shape and I think that is holding me back from being able to get more sound out of it and I don;t have any other keyboard I could hook to it.

If you are interested, can suggests some tests, have any thoughts, please let me know. You should expect to do some restoration and upgrading.
All the books, patch notebook, ARP brochures, owners manual, some original ARP patch cables, ARP foot switch are all included. Cases are in good shape.
I will be adding more photos and possible some sounds as I have time or as requested.
Again, Reverb grading would rate this as POOR. I feel it AVERAGE for it's nature and age and could be brought to GOOD with some basic service, and made EXCELLENT with a restoration that would significantly increase it's value to top of market range. This of course is my opinion as the owner but I have been watching the prices on these units for several years now and they have steadily increased even through widespread economic downturn.
So regardless of the rating, I am trying to get a fair price to me and also have someone receive something they can invest in as they see fit and not be pricing themselves out of the market, or end up with a another unique piece of vintage gear for their collection.
Thank you for viewing.
SHIPPING WILL BE AT BUYERS EXPENSE and from what I understand UPS is a good carrier for these two units. I believe the costs can run near $200 minimum.
SHIPPING NOTED BELOW IS AN ESTIMATE ONLY. LOWER 48 ONLY
