Unknown shortscale bass, I am pretty positive this is a Teisco of Japanese origin and late 60s. Although it is totally unmarked it looks identical to some Tiesco basses I have found and they are the closest matches.

It really looks great, and appears all original besides the 2 knobs. Pots are a little scratchy and could probably use some contact cleaner which I will spray some on prior to a sale. Comes with original bridge cover, it has threads in the body which bolts on, pretty neat. Pickups are quite punchy, and the bass records very well, I think it sounds great.

Could use a pro set up, although the neck peering down looks straight and flat the action gets high down the neck. The intonation is great, it is a 30 inch scale bass and has newer D'addrio rounds on it. I was able to turn the truss rod both directions but it was a little creaky and I was afraid to crank it, I personally think what it needs is a shim. With the action a little lower id gig the bass, it doesnt feel like a cheap bass to me and has a very cool tone.

Comes a maybe original chipboard.I found 2 sunburst teiscos that look identical to mine that sold on Reverb, Unfortunately I cant post direct links here but you can likely find them on message me for links
