About This Listing

The Young is obviously influenced by the infamous Gibson SG and the players who played it. At Dream Studios, we never want to be a "Me Too" company, and we had a real tough time deciding on to put this guitar into production. But after heavy, heavy deliberation and listening to a ton of Fugazi, AC/DC, Doors, and Black Sabbath we decided we had to do it. How do you make such an iconic guitar better and your own? Read on.

Starting with a Solid Mahogany body, and set Mahogany neck with a super radiused and access back, we took the tradtional SG shape and started giving it a modern twist and flavor. Rather than go with a more modern 1.75' thickness, we chose a vintage 1.5" thickness, and radiused the body and rounded out the shape, while still keeping the traditional style of horns.

Now to keep true to the playability of a traditional "Rock God" guitar, we kept the set neck with a 24 Jumbo Fret 26.5" scale and then topped it off with an Ebony Fretboard and dropped in traditional style dot inlays. When you see this guitar you just want to start shredding. The 43mm Bone Nut makes sure that the neck is beefy, but not too fat, and the locking tuners keep you in tune throughout the entire set.

When you go back down to that gorgeous Mahogany body, you notice the dual Seymour Duncan Active Blackout pickups. Behind the pickups you see the Tune O' Matic Adjustable Bridge and a strung-thru body, and you know that this is a touring machine. She is going to be ready to rock when you are.
