Original 1960s amptop booster for that classic 60s overdrive -- Rory Gallagher, Tony Iommi, Brian May, Ritchie Blackmore ... and just about every other classic guitarist from the period used one of these.
Black OC44 transistor
Circuit all original. This is the pedal that Paisley Tubby used as the model for their clone.
*Has been modified with output moved to the front and battery cover is a repro (which is why it's not $5000+).
A beautiful sounding Rangemaster. Plug it into a Vox AC30 to hear what all the fuss is about.
The output cable has been replaced with a jack on the front. The jack matches the original input jack and looks like it was done some time ago, along with the footswitch mod...it had been converted into a stompbox with a footswitch coming out the top where the battery compartment is at tone time. The hole has been filled with weld and it was repainted.
The original ON/OFF switch was resoldered by Leon/Paisley Tubby.
Everything else looks original, pot, jack, components, solder joints on the transistor don't look to have been disturbed.
The backplate is non-original
