Structurally sound workhorse powerhouse in player condition.
Big, round, warm, powerful tone!
I make no guarantees as to the cosmetic condition (see pics), though it's good to very good overall. Has been used in its 15 years--but not abused.
Cosmetically, I'd estimate that the top is in good condition...the back, sides, neck, headstock in very good condition.
The previous owner was a tapper, so there are many small fingernail impressions in top, some of which would be covered by adding a pickguard. There's some finish cloudiness here and there on the top. Some areas on the back and sides have been worn to gloss over the years, some minor buckle rash...neck has been played in to a gloss.
No cracks or structural issues, has been stable and in my humidity-controlled studio for months. Neck angle is good (pictured), a mm or two from factory...neck may have been reset at some point. Some fretwear, but hasn't caused any noticeable playability issues (pictured).
Tuners have been upgraded to quality Gotoh SEP780 tuners in Antique Gold, with black buttons.
(The very tip of the screws Gotoh provided poked through the wood on the inside of the slot, which is insane...I removed the screws, ground the tips off, then filled the holes. Pictured.) On the bright side, the tuners are a monumental improvement over the enclosed Martin-branded tuners they replaced, and they look great too!
Added JJB (KK-clone) 3-transducer bridge plate pickup.
