This is a heavily customized and Akai MPC1000. Classic machine, modded for power and beauty.

60gb hard drive with lots of sounds on it, 128mb ram, running JJOS 3.0, v 1.39.

Almost perfect condition, functions like new. Two owners. Babied its whole life. Pads all work — original, but functional. Just never got around to upgrading them.

Two minor notes on controls:

* The replacement knobs for rec gain and main volume are imperfect fits and there is some physical crunchiness that has no impact on function. They work fine and move slightly smoother with original knobs (included) reinstalled if you prefer. Just want to be upfront about it.

* The data wheel is (presumably) touchier than it should be, in that when stopping after scrolling you may have to fidget for a moment to land in the exact right thing. That may be a quirk of the OS, too. Again, fully functional, but I don’t want it to be a surprise.
