Duesenberg Starplayer TV Plus Black - Pickups plus Piezo!
As Nashville's only dealer of Duesenberg guitars, we get to see some pretty special guitars from this great company, however, we always put the Starplayer TV Plus models in a different league! Start with the normal Starplayer TV and add a highly useable Piezo pickup saddle system with a blend pot and you take the model to a whole new level!
Duesenberg's semi-hollow deluxe guitar is played by many of the top players in the world. The Starplayer-TV features a greatly improved 60s style tremolo and a floating bridge with steel saddles.
Their custom-wound DP90 in the neck position gives an authentic blues tone making a versatile combination with the vintage Humbucker in the bridge position.
The distinctive arched spruce top and elegant flamed maple arched back has elevated the DTV to one of the finest guitars in the world. It will remind you of the time when rock & roll was young.
The Duesenberg Tune-o-matic Bridge has a piezo element sandwiched in the bridge that gives you a balance response to all strings while creating great brightness and attack to the strings and adds a new clarity, richness and depth to an already amazing tone. Their "Multi-Tone" pot, allows the Piezo to be blended with the magnetic signal of the Duesenberg pickups. The other half of the pot works as a standard tone control - without adding the Piezo. And on top of all that the system is totally passive, no batteries means no problems!
Finished in a gorgeous piano black that has a beautiful purple hue at the edges of the sunburst on the back. It's incredibly hard to capture the depth of their paint job in a picture.
All Duesenberg Instruments include a Deluxe Hardshell case molded to fit the guitar better than a glove.
