Just like its 6-string counterpart the Musicmaster Bass is a simplified version of the Fender Mustang and Mustang Bass. Introduced in 1971 initially in three finishes; Red, White and Blue and featuring a short 30 inch scale length, single coil pickup and a simple bridge with two adjustable saddles. The Musicmaster Bass was produced until 1981 by which time Fender had added Black and White to the finish options.
This example is in fantastic condition with a neck date of May 1972 and two stackpole pots dated 22nd week of 1972 and 6th week of 1972 respectively. The original pickup sounds great and in combination with roundwound strings the bass has a fantastic tone.
The instrument is not supplied with a case.
