REVEL CUSTOM PICKUPS Re-issue Fender Thinline & Deluxe or ANY Wide Range Humbucker Modification. This auction is for a service that modifies your re-issue WRHB's into vintage built, vintage sounding, WRHB's. Here's the process: *Each auction is for one (1) pickup. Purchase two (2) if you need a set modified. After purchase: *You send me your re-issue/s. I disassemble it. *I replace the bobbins with vintage correct sized bobbins that are hand-built in-house and wind them to vintage specifications using 42awg plain enamel wire. The originals used poly insulated wire but we use the more expensive PE wire to achieve the correct tone. *I use threaded Alnico magnets (We have these magnets manufactured to our specifications and they differ from typical Alnico rods only in having slightly lower "Hc," or "coercive force of material." These magnets are fully adjustable.) and Alnico 5 rod magnets to replace the screws and bar magnet. *A vintage correct reflector plate is placed between the bobbins and the base plate. *A 2 wire shielded lead wire is connected. *The pickup is re-assembled, potted, and shipped back. *Specify if you'd like an under-wound neck pickup for better balance with the bridge. NOTE: Vintage WRHB's were wound to the same wind count on both the bridge and neck pickups. *This process transforms your re-issue into an awesome and vintage toned Wide Range Humbucker.
