Holland 4x10 Boutique Amp Gibb Droll 50 watt with reverb 1996 Blonde Tolex

The “Gibb Droll was considered the flagship of the Holland line. This amp was created for East coast artist Gibb Droll. It features a 50W all tube chassis. Mike Holland described the amp as toned of blues sounds from the 1950s -1960s, and “reminiscent of ZZ Top.”

He conceived and built this amp as what Leo Fender would have created if the Fender Bassman had evolved had it remained in production? This Gibb’s blonde, Tolex-covered solid pine cabinet uses a 7/16 solid-core fir baffle board and is taller and deeper than an original tweed Bassman. (Larger cabinets can make an amp sound bigger, and baffle-board thickness and material affect tone in much the same way that an acoustic guitar’s top contributes to its sound).

Rare, separate onboard reverb amp and tank connected to a single 10" separate from the other 3. I removed both from amp but still have available. Some minor mods for harp but any tech familiar with 5F6-A can easily replace resistors. Also has a custom negative feedback loop potentiometer install allowing user to dial-in or out intensity.

This blonde beauty packs four Mojotone MP10-R Alnico speakers and its chromed-steel chassis houses a flameproof phenolic eyelet-style circuit board, with all hand-wired circuitry.
