Up for auction is an Electrofoods Nepenthes in a one-off, never-to-be-repeated enclosure. The full
proceeds of this auction will go to the National Multiple Sclerosis
Foundation by way of a BikeMS donation.
To wit:
"What exactly are you auctioning?" This is an Electrofoods Nepenthes - based on a rodent distortion that we all know and love, but with some serious refinements. The enclosure depicts our favorite carnivorous plant and its bespectacled friend. Electrofoods will never make a duplicate of this enclosure!
From Electrofoods:
Our unhinged take on the rodent/LM308 opamp distortion circuit, but minus the LM308; we purpose-built our own discrete opamp from the ground up. We've also added optional feedback-style clipping, way more volume on tap, and a two-mode boost footswitch for when you need that extra push over the cliff. The Nepenthes is a ferocious beast with a luscious pool of sweet nectar at its heart, great for surgical shred tones, swampy doom filth, and every-thing in between. "Why are you doing this?"
I am auctioning this pedal, generously donated by the amazing folks at Electrofoods Ultd, toward my fundraising campaign for the 2018 BikeMS 150:
City to Shore. This is a two day cycling event, designed to raise
awareness and money for the National MS Society. The National MS Society uses the funds raised by this
ride to fund research toward a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, and help
those afflicted by the disease through their daily lives. This
particular BikeMS event (one of dozens around the nation) has run for
decades; it attracts hundreds of riders and raises millions of dollars
each year. I am proud to be riding in my fifth BikeMS event.
Every
dime that I receive from Reverb for this auction will be donated directly to the National MS
Society through my BikeMS Rider page. I will be more than happy to send
you a screenshot of the donation, once it is made.
I will pay all domestic shipping charges on my own. If you are an international bidder, worldwide shipping rates will apply.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you in advance and good luck!
