Selling a 1999 AMDi TecH Talk Sampler. This device is created for special needs patients (AAC). From the AMDI site:
"Tech Talk provides speech playback at a high audio quality. These devices are user-friendly, durable and rugged. Made with a shatterproof high impact ABS injection molded case, they are designed to be accidental drop resistant. The water resistant membrane panel operates with a light-touch. These devices are light-weight, portable and all units can be easily wheelchair or table mounted."
Hold 48 samples (6 banks x 8 pads). Samples limited to 5 seconds. 1/8" input and output jack. bank selector knob and volume control. small speaker is bypassed when output jack is used. The samples play back with a really light touch. Doesn't require mashing. Only plays 1 sample at a time. Can not stop or override sample once played. Runs on 4 AA batteries. No AC available. Battery cover missing. A cardboard insert can be slipped underneath the top grid.
This device would be great sound effects playback for a theater or talk show. Think 1980s David Letterman breaking glass sound fx. Or if you need an unbreakable device. Or battery powered sample playback device.
Yes does work.
