About This Listing

This Madeira is a true sweetheart! An all-laminate dreamboat, made in Japan sometime in the 1970s as Guild’s entry/intermediate line. Signature OM tone wonderfully voiced for fingerpicking, robust chords or any point in between. A nice amount of projection without losing tonal subtlety. It is in good playing condition with some signs of wear and tear. The frets have been worn pretty flat, but have been dressed decently and feel great with no buzzing (think of the way old Gibson frets flatten out but play forever) The bridge was also glued down (solidly but not cleanly) before it came to us – no worries of it moving, but worth disclosing nonetheless. Other than some typical finish flemishes/binding wear and a missing internal label, this guitar feels and sounds lovely. Great chance to get a hell of a player, OM style at a great price point.
