About This Listing

Hello and welcome to the House of Chrome.

You are looking at a gorgeous 1940's era Turner 80X crystal microphone with classic, clean lines and heavy deco / industrial influence. The stand shown is included as well as the original cable.                                                                                                       Pic # 2 is from an old Turner advertisement showing basic specs on the mic.

This was used an affordable general purpose for wire recording, for public address systems, pulpits, office and factory call systems, etc...

These were sold a as "general purpose" mic being an affordable option as most microphones were very expensive at that time in history.

As seen in the pictures provided this mic has an immaculate satin chrome finish being free of any cosmetic wear. The front screen is free of dents as well. The Turner badge looks very nice and this 80X mic comes with it's original C-4 desk stand which helps keep the mic upright and adds weight to the mic as the mic itself is quite small and lite.  The Turner stand works perfectly giving the mic a wide range of motion. The locking clutch mechanism works excellent and it still has the original pad to keep the stand from scratching any soft surface it may rest on.

The original Crystal element is actually still present but non-working and this should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only. This mic comes with its original 5 foot cable with male 1/4 inch connector and it's in excellent shape.

A very cool, smaller mic and a unique piece or early American mic history.

This is absolutely the nicest 90X mic I have ever offered for sale and I've sold dozens of them. If you demand the finest example this will certainly fit the bill.

As with all my vintage microphones for sale...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The return shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. International buyers are welcome as well. BUYER MUST PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS or will lose rights to this item, unpaid item report will be filed and will be re-listed. If you don't intend on buying this...do not commit to buy please. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
