Dampening System For Toms and Snare. The Min-EMAD is an extension of Evans successful EMAD (Externally Mounted Adjustable Dampening) bass drum heads that let drummers remove unwanted frequencies from toms and snare drums while retaining the desired attack, resonance and feel of the head.

How it works: It consists of a fabric bridge that links the resonant head with the relatively inert metal counter hoop, removing overtones by controlling the vibration of the head.
