Carvin CL450 Nylon String Classical Crossover Acoustic-Electric, Solid Spruce, Rare

For sale is a Carvin CL450 nylon string crossover electric acoustic.  This is the solid spruce top version.  I have played several of these guitars, and the spruce version is by far the best sounding.  Deep, bright, open traditional nylon tone.  Of course, it does not have the extreme volume of a full-size concert classic, that it not what it is designed for.  But it has a gorgeous tone both acoustically and plugged in, without feedback. The Fishman Prefix Pro system sounds fabulous, and even has a phase switch to adjust for different amp and room characteristics.  The narrower and radiused neck and low action plays effortlessly. 12th fret high e 1/16", low e 5/64".  The case is like new inside, just a few scuffs outside.  This is a fabulous nylon crossover, with a modern look that really stands out.  I took the pictures in a few different lighting situations to show how varied it looks.  Also included is a cool custom made Spanish style matching pickguard that attaches with removable 3M strips.  Will include a supply of strips, but they are readily available.  See the last 2 photos.

Note: There are (2) small 1" cracks on the lower rim next the the jack plate. These were professionally repaired, sealed and cleated 4 years ago, and have not changed ever since. It is a non-issue, except cosmetically, looking at that spot up close.  I took an up-close picture of it to show it in detail.  There is also a small 1/4" mark just below the bridge near the b & e string ends.  It was hard to capture in the 2nd photo, see 2nd last photo.

Carvin no longer offers the CL450 and they are becoming rare on the used market.  Which is a shame, because they are fabulous professional solid topped nylon crossovers at a reasonable price.  Don't let this one get away, it will be a while before the next one comes along.
