Here's a pretty rare 1970 PLUSH 4000G amplifier head and 8x10 speaker
cabinet. The amp does work although there are a few wires inside that
are not connected. I was able to test it for 10-15 seconds but one of
the tubes was extremely bright and one was making a crackling noise and
flashed a bit so I shut it down not to fry anything. All volume and tone
controls did work. The interior parts look to be correct, the
transformers and choke are original, no extra holes to the chassis, one
of the pilot light units is not there. I took a picture of it on standby
so you can see the tubes are lit. 3 tubes are Ruby EL 34 and 1 Groove
Tube EL34. The pots are dated 1969. There is a replacement A/C cord that
the ground wire is not connected. The amp cabinet is missing the back
panel. The 8x10 speaker cabinet is HUMONGOUS, I can' t recall a bigger
cabinet in my 41 years of selling vintage and collectible musical
instruments. All 8 speakers work and are original. The grill cloth is
good with no rips, the input jack and plate on the back of the cabinet
is not original. The cabinet has new casters on it. A few minor rips in the
button tuck covering. This rig has been together for 48 years so as a
dealer I will not break it up. The cabinet is just about un-shippable
because of it's size and weight ,
the 1971 catalog lists it at 180 pounds
, so this rig will be LOCAL PICKUP only.
