Posted this 6 months ago, then took it off the market for a few months now re-posting again. As I'm sure many of you folks on here can relate, I'm fighting against the magic of this guitar versus the supplement to my bank account by selling it.
Cosmetically there are a few shallow dings and scrape indents on the top, pictured. There's some wear around the headstock channels, also pictured. Brand new fret job performed in August 2018. Therefore very minimal fret wear overall. The bridge is low so you might need replace it sometime in the future, however action is just right.
This guitar is not for collectors. It is very well played and has really bloomed as a result. For those of you who have experience with this model, you already know, but you can strum this right next to just about any OM (and many dreads). Don’t take my word for it, check out some of the talking heads on the web) out there and it will match it's volume and clarity note for note, while still keeping astonishing string separation.
Essentially you're getting an $11,000 guitar, that it is broken in well and comes without the stress of getting your first scratch. Notice that following close-up pics of blemishes in the sunlight followed by the pic just out of the sunbeam. You’ll notice they are not nearly as noticeable. I know I’m the seller so of course I would say this, but I truly mean it, I actually like all the imperfections. It’s super comforting and very familiar to play. Not to mention, your audience will not be aware of the blemishes, just the incredible tone of this 15-year-old custom Koa froggy bottom.
