Hot Box HB-VB5 Gen 4 Jimi Zero Designed and manufactured by MOEN Effect Labs Exclusive for HOT BOX Canada

“Vibe” Version 5 with Vibrato/Chorus Switch

The HB-VB5 has been reborn better tone no tick noises

Hot Box HB-VB5 Jimi Zero is a luscious Univibe clone. This is a miniaturized version of their Jimi Shaky pedal so that you get the same great VIBE sound in a smaller lighter package. This version is the latest best version, with improved sound and a lot more quiet. NO TIK NO POP.

Moen did a really amazing job in recreating this model for HOT BOX PEDALS , an even better version of the classic, the overall tone has been improved and the little tick and pop the previous model used to make are now eliminated making this version far more quiet and manageable so it makes sense that this is the best selling flagship VIBE pedal yet.

Turn it on, and you will hear the 60s coming out of your amp whether it is a subtle leslie type vibrato or a full on Hendrix acid solo.

Organic and fluid sounding.

Two modes on the pedal allow choosing between the classic Univibe vibrato and a more watery chorus effect.

Depth can adjust the color of the effect so that you can really nail that classic sound dead on.

Description
Swirling vibrato effects, brings up those those Hendrix and early Trower tones. Couple this with your favorite amp and throw in the distortion or fuzz and you can start your own Band of Gypsy's.
There are separate controls for both chorus and vibe. Lots of room in the Rate and Depth to find your own sound. You can also get some Leslie- type vibrato sounds with a little tweaking.

"JIMI ZERO" specs:
The new Generation 4 brings the Jimi Zero to even deeper and funkier ground. Now features a "Depth"and Vibrato/Chorus Switch setting that allows for more adjustment and no wrapping or isolating of the LED's inside is needed.
The true bypass means that the input jack is connected directly to the output when the pedal is switched off. The sound coming in is totally unaffected by any filter or circuitry and it allows the guitarist to truly differentiate the effect.

Here are some reviews from actual customers.
Matt-

Amazing Upgrade!!!!!

I owned a Jimi Zero version one but the soft clicking in the background got on my nerves. I also could not tolerate the volume drop of the first one either. I'm picky that way. Figured I'd take an educated chance on version 5 of the Jimi Zero since I really did like the sound of the old one. Much to my pleasure not only is the click and the volume drop issue resolved but the tone is tremendously improved. The throb and top shimmer of the pedal are far superior to the old version(and most uni-vibes out there!)and the warble is perfect. Some uni-vibes change the pitch too much and leave you sounding out of tune but the Hot Box HB-VB5 is spot on when it comes to the classic effect. The HB-VB5 is an amazing upgrade not only from the previous four versions but from many of the pricey uni-vibes in my arsenal. The chorus button is a new feature to me, and even though it sounds more like it's on vibrato it is a great effect in itself.
The chorus(vibrato)gives you that detuned Pali Gap Hendrix tone and makes you feel like you are there! The Vibe position, which in the old days was called "chorus" is where the total uni-vibe experience is happening. With rate at 9 the bias at 9 and the depth up all the way it has everything the pedal can give and all I would ever need. It can get fast and watery and weird reaching many extremes, but that has never been my thing. I think you could even get a great tremolo effect in the "chorus" position. My only negative would be that labeling the button as chorus could mislead some into thinking you could get a traditional chorus sound from that setting and I did not find that to be the case. The sound and feel of this uni-vibe rivals that of boutique pedals I've owned and played. If you are a Robin Trower fan you will have no problem dialing in flawless Bridge of Sighs, Day of the Eagle, and Too Rolling Stoned settings in an instant. Matt M. Lead guitarist, Outlier.
