The Screamin Demon is a medium output humbucker designed todeliver crisp 80s sizzle with a scooped midrange.
The idea was to create a pickup that had the articulateairiness of an old-school PAF, but with more growl and sizzle. We designedslightly overwound coils, an alnico 5 bar magnet, and used a mix of pole piecesthat included one row of standard adjustable screws, and one row of shorterAllen head screw. What you get is a big, open tone, with a treble emphasis thatkeeps your pick attack sounding articulate at any level of distortion.Originally designed as a bridge pickup, the 10k Screamin Demon is also a greatneck pickup when paired with a high output humbucker in the bridge. Pair withthe 59 neck or Jazz neck humbuckers for a great setup.Hand built in SantaBarbara, CA, the Screamin Demon model uses an alnico 5 bar magnet, nickelsilver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and isvacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
