KH 80 Active DSP Powered Studio Monitor. The Neumann KH 80 Active DSP Powered Studio Monitor is a 2-way active bi-amplified studio monitor featuring a DSP engine with network control, a Mathematically Modeled Dispersion Waveguide (MMD), an analog input and an extensive range of mounting hardware. This allows the loudspeaker to be used in diverse acoustical conditions, with any source equipment and in a wide variety of physical locations. The KH 80 Active DSP Powered Studio Monitor is a professional reference monitor representing the latest in acoustic and electronic simulation and measurement technologies to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction possible. The KH 80 Active DSP is designed for use as a near-field monitor, as a front loudspeaker in small multi-channel systems, or as a rear loudspeaker in a compact multi-channel systems. It can be used in project and music studios, broadcast centers, OB vans, and post production studios for tracking, mixing, and mastering. It is also well suited for use in home studio environments. The Perfect Sound of Mathematics at Work The KH 80 DSP’s design is based on computer simulations that calculate with an accuracy that others do not match. Neumann's Mathematical Modeled Dispersion Waveguide (MMD) provides their studio series with a solid base for precise sound direction that stays absolutely unique. Doing your sums properly has never sounded so good. The Biggest Variable is Your Room. Neumann Has the Solution. It might be a project studio, an outside broadcast van, or just a corner of a building: The room defines the sound. Surfaces and corners in the room cause interference, diffraction, reflection, and refraction: all are forms of distortion. For a really true sound, you normally need expensive equipment plus plenty of time and expertise to align it correctly – or smart algorithms. Neumann's DSP engine optimizes the sound output, delivering quality way above price-tag. And you do not need to be an expert use...
