The Vox Tone Bender is among the top fuzz boxes used during the British Invasion. The tone is bright and cuts through the mud. This pedal is the first series of Tone Bender released by Vox. The transistors in this kit are New-Old-Stock AC125 and AC128 (germanium) transistors which have been tested for gain and leakage, paired and tested in a fuzz circuit to ensure optimal performance and low noise.

The circuit is constructed on a strip-board. Many of the original British fuzz boxes used strip board rather than a printed circuitboard. Strip board is also the choice of most DIY pedal builders. The components are laid out in a way that makes assembly quick and uncomplicated.
