EpiphoneTop & Electar Amp 1941 Sunburst Guitar Timber Amp

Probably been together since about 1946 and we’re not gonna split them up now!  Pictured with a 1930s Bugatti, owned by a local Luthier.
Guitar is an exemplary example and although the pickup is relatively crude and ‘in the wrong position’ it makes a good blues or slide guitar, a skilfully fitted soundpost would allow this guitar to soar at higher volumes. 
The amp is a little tacker, to use an Australian vernacular, but has a ballsy Champ like tone. Made by Nat Daniel exclusively for Epiphone in NYC and of course Nat went on to greater fame with his Danelectro caper, so this pair are quite historically significant and interesting.
Tone wise not exactly Charlie Christian, more like Keith Richards around Beggars Banquet time.
110v and fully serviced by Melbourne’s top amp guru, Tim Evans. Step up transformer provided for 240v countries, Australia and UK for example.  Recently sold but buyer reneged so now re listed They really are a magnificent pair, a copy of ‘The House of Stathopolou’ book will be provided to the buyer at no extra charge. History !
