The new R8 Singlecut Acoustic Hollowbody bass from legendary luthier Jens Ritter is simple in looks but wild in tone and playability.
While Jens and I were discussing cool new ideas at the NAMM show I mentioned building a Hollowbody bass - turns out we were on the same page and he had just begun to develop this one. A year and a half of development and building later, and ta-da! The first ever acoustic hollowbody Ritter bass guitar.
The body is hollowed from both sides with a custom Ritter pickup mounted inside the sound hole. The bass also features custom piezo pickups in the bridge and a custom pre-amp to blend it all together - tonally, its the much touch sensitive instrument you will ever play, truly a unique experience thats impossible to show you over the internet.
