Ormsby Goliath 6 GTR Multiscale Maya Blue - Flame Maple Exotic - Ebony or Maple Fretboard

ETA is February 2019. Please review presale policy at end of listing.

Background/Specs

This time around Ormsby have some new colours to offer. Plus, both Maple and Ebony fretboard options FOR ALL COLOURS.

Let's get into the detail then, shall we?

DIMENSIONS
The fanned arrangement of the Multiscale fretboard creates scale lengths for each individual string. Ormsby generally calls this the "spread". For the GTR range, the spread is as follows:

Six string: 25.5" - 27.5" Multiscale
Seven string: 25.5" - 27.8" Multiscale
Eight String: 25.5" - 28.2" Multiscale

Due to the increased scale length on the bass side, the tension of the strings increases. Ormsby recommends you try dropping a gauge on the bottom end, for example, if you usually use 9-46's, try 9-42's.

Body dimensions (thickness): 38mm Goliath GTR. For comparison, Jacksons, Ibanez RG, Fender Strats, etc are generally 47mm.

Neck shape: 20.3mm @ 1st, 22 @ 17th, D shape with round shoulders. AKA "thin U"

HARDWARE
The bridges are custom made for Ormsby to exacting tolerances, using a variety of materials proven for longevity and tone. The locking nut has been revised to an angled layout, rather than the perpendicular arrangement Ormsby used in the first production run.

TONE
Ormsby's own Hot Rock A8 Humbucker features pride of place in the bridge position, with an De La Creme A2 in the neck. Both of these pickups are made to Ormsby's own specifications by their partners in Korea. 500k pots for volume, a 3 way toggle, and 500k push/pull tone pot for coil splitting. Bone nut.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
Obviously, a guitar :) But you'll also get a premium gigbag, with some special case candy.
