For sale is a very rare and very gorgeous Warwick fortress flashback with the original hard shell case.

This bass was made in Germany in 1996 during what I consider to be the golden age of Warwick. As with all basses made in this era (1993-1998), this bass features a gorgeous and slim wenge neck and flush mounted strap locks. As I understand, only a couple hundred of these Flashacks were made so this bass is as collectible as it is cool.

Those familiar know that these basses can be heavy due to the weight of the 2TEK bridge. However, this bass is relatively lightweight at 10.6 lbs according to my bathroom scale. The bass features an ash body and a gorgeous teal finish with pearloid pickguard. Fingerboard is wenge as is the neck. Unique to this model, it is fitted with a 2Tek bridge which is mounted all the way through the body.  These bridges were known for their incredible response and sustain. As well, the bass is fitted with two unique MEC lipstick-style pickups. The neck pick up is a single coil pickup  and the bridge pickup is a double coil which can be put in parallel or series mode by pulling up on the tone knob.  Hardware is brushed chrome.

Electronics are passive. This bass has a very warm and vintage sound as well as look. I believe this was Warwick’s take on the venerable Rickenbacker bass.

This Bass is in amazing condition. I could not find any imperfections other than some very superficial scratching on the neck lipstick pick up from the round wound strings.

It is difficult to part with this bass, but I am liquidating a few things to pay for some other purchases that I have recently made but I know whoever ends up with this bass will love it as much as I do.

This is for sale within the continental United States only. If you are an international buyer, please contact me first so that we can discuss the feasibility and added cost for shipping to you.
