This is a NOS JHD Audio ICE CUBE II for 1978 and newer Fender Reverb amplifiers. (I am not sure how far after 1978 they are still compatible.) It is made to plug into the reverb send and return on the amp in place of the reverb tank This turns the reverb control into an overdrive control as it sends the signal through the ICE CUBE II instead of the tank.
There are two distinct types of ICE CUBES: The ICE CUBE Sustain Coupler which is meant for pre-1978 Fender Reverb Amps and the ICE CUBE II Sustain Coupler which is meant for the 1978 and newer Fender Reverb Amplfiers
To use this you just TURN OFF THE AMP, unplug the reverb send and return RCA cables, and plug the ICE CUBE II into the RCA jacks on the rear of the chassis. You increase or decrease the distortion from the reverb control, and turn it on and off with the reverb footswitch. They are made to fit exactly into the given Fender reverb-in/reverb-out RCA jacks.
It comes in the original retail packaging with instructions.
The original plastic box shows some scratches.
Please note that if you have a Pre-1978 Fender Reverb Amp that you want the ICE CUBE and NOT the ICE CUBE II. Also, please be aware that there is always potential to damage your amp when using a third party device.
RETURN INFORMATION Returns are not accepted.
Over the last 40+ years of buying and selling vintage guitars, amps, etc. I have accumulated many NOS and vintage parts from a plethora of manufacturers. I recently closed my vintage guitar store in Michigan and relocated to Kentucky. To-that-end, I am selling all of these accumulated items. Over the next few months please look for my other items where I will be selling both old growth tone woods as well as various other parts for acoustics, electrics. mandolins, banjos, etc. These items are perfect for restorations or building from scratch.
