7/23/18 Update: U.S. shipping lowered to $40.
*I've been asked about the weight a couple times...the guitar weighs in right at 7 lbs. 6.95 on my scale to be exact.
Really great early 80' Japanese strat here folks. This is one of the most desirable Tokai strats made. That's my youtube vid attached. Just an Iphone video w/ a Carr Rambler and Bearfoot Honey Bee overdrive pedal.
Tokai ST60
-2 PC ALDER BODY
-GREY BOTTOM PICKUPS (These are the ones to have in an 80's Tokai)
-DELUXE TUNERS
-7.5" radius
-FRETS HAVE 95% OF LIFE LEFT
-25.5" SCALE
-AMAZING CONDITION (NEAR MINT MINUS ONE FLAW THAT CAN'T BE SEEN WHEN PLAYING...note the picture, it's under the back of your arm when you play -- and the guitar is nearly flawless other than this.
-This is a great guitar and it is in very shape for being 35 years old. It has one ding on the outer edge, as mentioned which is a bit ugly. There is only ONE ding/scratch, don't let the picture fool you. The frets have 95% left, the neck is in amazing condition. It looks as if it wasn't really ever played that much. I waited and looked for a long time until I found this guitar. I looked into Tokai's and discovered what amazing guitars they made, especially in the 79 - 84 period. Pretty much exact replicas of the guitars they copied. This one is a 57 Stratocaster copy. It sounds amazing, the grey bottom pickups that are highly regarded sound great. I'm just not a strat guy though I love the way they sound...I looked long and hard to find this guitar and passed over many others. For the cash, these cant be beat. They are easily as good as most high end strats out there, in my opinion.
It comes w/ a Fender molded HSC. The case has some issues w/ the latches but it will be great for shipping...and I use it currently though I'm careful w/ it.
