About This Listing

Up for sale is this COMPLETE vintage 1957 Gibson PAF wiring harness. We have NEVER seen such a complete and untouched harness come up for sale and may very well never see one again. To check out this harness, two of the pot cans were de- and re-soldered on. We wanted to leave this harness as untouched as possible so we did not open up the other two dust covers.

The original matched pair of nickel cover PAF pickups measure 7.18K (neck) and 7.46K (bridge). The covers have never been off of these pickups and we are not going to be the first to remove them. A pole piece was removed from each pickup and the black bobbins can be seen in the hole. The original PAF stickers are nearly like new and show very little wear at all. The nickel covers show wear and pitting, but look amazing. There is a small piece of very old tape on one of the covers that we have no attempted to remove. This can be seen in the photos.

The original M-69/M-491 pickup rings are still there and are unbroken. They do show some wear from many years of use. The original mounting screws are also included and are in very nice shape.

The original Centralab pots date to the 38th week of 1957 and everything has been tested and works as it should. For these to work in a Les Paul, the dust covers will have to be de-soldered and removed, but this is very easy to pull off. We left them on due to the originality. The original nuts and pointers are also included.

The original input jack is still there and retains its original dust cover as well.

The three-way toggle switch is original and works perfectly as it should. It retains its original amber-colored switch tip.

All of the solder joints look to be untouched and we were the first ones to remove any of the dust covers on the pots. Please keep in mind that the pickups were measured at the pots so the readings may vary slightly, but we did not want to unsolder any of the original connections.

Overall, this is pretty much a matched set, drop-in ready set of original PAF pickups and the original harness. You will NOT find another like this anytime soon and it's the only complete one that we have seen hit the market. If you're looking for this, do NOT wait around and miss out!

As far as shipping goes on these, they will either be sent overnight to you or we can arrange pickup or delivery within a reasonable distance.
